Not Going to Barcelona…..

Given the whole health situation at the moment, I’ve cancelled my proposed trip to Barcelona for the beer festival just before Christmas. The cost of PCR tests is a factor, but I’m not sure how this new variant is going to affect travel over the next couple of weeks. I cancelled my Accor hotel without charge and BA also sent me a voucher for my now cancelled flight to Barcelona, and it only took them about an hour to do that. I had paid for the flight with vouchers anyway, so there’s no great loss there.

Fortunately, I hadn’t paid for an LFT for my trip back to the UK, as that would have been something of a waste since the rules changed, but I’ve now booked a PCR test to be collected at London Heathrow T5. Or at least, hopefully that’ll work out. I can’t see me going overseas again in 2021, so the Barcelona beer festival will just have to wait for another year. It’s been several years since I’ve been to Barcelona, but I’m sure it won’t be too long before I get there again.
